Festival Fresco is a chamber music festival founded in 2018, based in the Manchester area. Its main aims are to offer a programme of enjoyable, high-quality concerts to local audiences, and to provide performance opportunities for young professional musicians at the start of their careers. The inaugural festival took place at the Baptist Church in Altrincham between the 6th-8th of June 2019.
Festival Fresco works closely with a group of core artists, the Fresco Musicians and Fresco Singers, with the aim to grow and develop alongside them. We also have a group of Associate Composers, with whom we workshop and commission new and exciting pieces.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 festivals have taken place online via our YouTube channel. You can watch the concerts and subscribe to the channel here.
Festival Fresco is founded by composer Natasha Sofla and violinist Vanessa White who are both young professional musicians at the start of their careers.
